Objectives

The primary objective of the company was to manufacture various pharmaceutical dosage forms to meet requirements of the nation. In specific the company aimed:

• To manufacture allopathic medicines for the requirement of the country
• To carry out quality control of imported products
• To contribute for the quality assurance of the marketed products
• To supply medicine to the general public in an affordable price
• To play vital role by substituting import producing quality medicines
• To meet the nations acute need of medicines at the time of natural calamities and disease epidemic       conditions

In 2015, there was a Revitalization proposal of NAL and the title of the project was “Revival and Restructuring of Nepal Aushadhi Limited as per the WHO GMP guidelines and Sustainable growth” with new objectives:

• To manufacture the selected pharmaceutical formulations under the government purchase list
• To be in standby for the fulfillment of pharmaceutical items in acute requirement of government
• To develop the infrastructure for supply of all the government requirements in a partial basis for the check and balance of the price of pharmaceutical items.
